About UNAPD
The Uganda National Action on Physical Disability (UNAPD) is Uganda's leading umbrella organization representing Persons with Physical Disabilities (PWPDs). Established in 1998, UNAPD works to eliminate barriers, promote equal opportunities, and advocate for the rights of persons with physical disabilities throughout Uganda.
Today, UNAPD has:
- 38 District Member Associations
- Over 7,000 registered members
- National advocacy presence
- Partnerships with government, NGOs, and international organizations

Our Programmes
UNAPD is deliberately focused on strategic, national-level activities whose local-level operations are implemented by and through her members, supported by UNAPD secretariat.

Physical Accessibility
Promoting accessible infrastructure, transport systems, public buildings, and inclusive environments for Persons with Physical Disabilities.

Inclusive Education
Advocating for equal access to quality education, inclusive schools, assistive learning technologies, and educational opportunities.

Supporting livelihoods, entrepreneurship, employment opportunities, skills development, and financial inclusion.
