National Accessibility Audit Committee
The mandate of the National Accessibility Audit Team (NAAT) is;
To assess public buildings and facilities for accessibility at national level and offer advisory services to the developers. UNAPD is also establishing District Accessibility Audit Teams (DAAT) in the 38 districts where we have membership and these are mandated to do the NAAT work but at the district level.
NAAT Composition
NAAT comprises eight members who represent the following institutions/organizations:- National Council for Disability (NCD), National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU), Uganda National Action on Physical Disability (UNAPD) Uganda National Association of the Deaf (UNAD), East Africa Centre for Disability Law and Policy (CDLP), Uganda National Association of the Blind (UNAB), Legal Action for Persons with Disabilities Uganda – LAPD and Teens Uganda.
