REPORT- Raising The Profile of PWD in Risk & Emergence Situations “A CASE OF DISASTERS IN BUDUDA”

UNAPD conducted a baseline study profiling the status of PWDs in risk & emergence situations in Uganda in the Bugishu sub region (Bududa) in line with article 11 of UNCRPD “situations of risk and humanitarian emergencies states parties shall take, in accordance with their obligations under international law, including international humanitarian law and international human rights law, all necessary measures to ensure the protection and safety of persons with disabilities in situations of risk, including situations of armed conflict, humanitarian emergencies and the occurrence of natural disasters” as well as SDGs Goal 13 “Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts”.
